Writing and design work considered by the editor for publication will be refereed by the JAE Editorial Board and/or appointed JAE referees. Great emphasis in these reviews will be placed on the idea content of the work, its scholarly depth, and the sustainment of argument. The authors of refereed work will receive written evaluations of their submission made by the referees; the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board are interested in establishing a dialogue with authors and working with them to develop their ideas. Contributors of material for JAE review should submit pdf versions via our submission website.

Review our Submission Guidelines and Submission Checklists before submitting an article. Omissions in your article will delay our process. We strongly urge authors not to submit original photographs or materials, and to backup files. Please be advised that, because of our process, all materials cannot be returned.
