Research Papers | Guidelines and Requirements

NOTE: Manuscripts that do not conform to the Submission Guidelines will not be reviewed; they will be returned to authors for re-submission.

1. Text, endnotes and list of figures must be printed, double-spaced, single-sided on standard-size paper (8.5 x 11 inches). All pages must be numbered consecutively with endnotes, and list of figures with captions following the text of the article. (Note that authors MUST use endnotes, NOT footnotes.) Word Count Limit: 7,000 words, including endnotes.

2. Include an abstract no more than 100 words (double-spaced). This is the first paragraph of your article with the heading "Abstract."

3. Use standard American spellings and nonsexist language. Quotations from foreign language sources must be translated in the text.

4. The author's name must not appear anywhere in the text.

5. Include a CD with a PDF of your article. (DO NOT SEND IMAGE FILES OR WORD DOCUMENT AT THIS POINT). Your PDF should be made from your Word Document with all images with captions included. The PDF will have your word document, including abstract, all image files at the end of the document with captions, ALL in one PDF file.

6. You MUST include an e-mail address so we can confirm your submission and contact you if we have questions.

7. All submissions must include 2 hard copies of your complete paper and the CD noted above. Please protect the CD in a plastic case to guard against damage. Bind your hard copies with either spiral or butterfly clips. Do not send articles without binding.
